It developed in the 60's in United States, but it influenced the whole world in many aspects, such as music, clothes, ideology, manners,etc.
It all was headed by a group of teens that felt opressed by the system of that time. This is why they were more espiritual and had different way of appreciating life. They also consumed drugs, especially marijuana and LSD, but they were very peaceful.
